Coming Soon: Angelic Pretty Eternal Rose Collection
The latest GLB (#47) had a big spread on Angelic Pretty’s upcoming collections in the front. One of those, which I haven’t hear much about was titled “Eternal Rose Collection”. This may not be the final name for the print, as the pre-release GLB English page titles often do not match the final item names when they are launched.
The print seems to feature roses and little oval frames with AP in the center. It’s very girly and feminine with lots of gathering and ruffles, lace and bows. I think what is most remarkable about this print is that while it’s a floral, it’s still a custom print. Custom print fabric is generally more expensive than buying fabric on the market, so either one of the AP designers really, really wanted to try her hand at roses and frames, or AP is specifically going to a unique floral, which I find really interesting. It’s not the first time a brand has made their own floral or fruit pattern like this; there are certainly quite a handful from Baby the Stars Shine Bright that I can think of right off the top of my head, but it is an interesting choice.
Based on the Gothic and Lolita Bible spread, there will be an OP that gives the illusion of a strapless JSK and a chiffon blouse combo with long translucent sleeves, one of those not-quite-and-OP JSKs that features little cap sleeves, and a JSK that has off the soulder, translucent (lace or chiffon?) straps in addition to thin JSK straps. There is also a skirt, which looks to have a semi-high waist, a half bonnet, a headbow with roses and OTK socks.
Based on the photos, the colors appear to be Pink, Ivory , Mint and Lavender.
